A dream comes true for small aviation fans

Not only for adults the Luftfahrtmuseum Wernigerode is a real highlight. Especially for families with children, the museum is worth visiting. Children really enjoy the stay: 50 aircrafts, helicopters, jets and many other exhibits thrill our young visitors. At the interactive stations they become explorers themselves. As you see, a tour in our museum is definitely not boring.

So that all family members have fun, the museum offers many highlights for children:

Flight Simulator

With a flight in our simulators, the family trip will become unforgettable. Even children as of the age of 8 can fly themselves or fly as “passengers” with the whole family. Those who are 8 and older can book a flight in our “Messerschmitt Bf 109” simulator. The Bell simulator is very difficult to fly, which is why you must be at least 14 years old to do so.

Sure, children really enjoy themselves here – but adults also like to try their hand at making a stellar flying object. Caps, paper, pens, scissors, and coloring pages await you. That’s how aerodynamics can be experienced and the visit becomes an interactive adventure.

Boarding allowed

In order to protect the airplanes and helicopters, we unfortunately can’t allow all of them to be boarded – but with the “Schnödt-Airline” in Hangar 4, your pilot dreams can come true!
